Aeonium 'Sunbirds' originates from the Canary Islands, inhabiting volcanic rocky slopes with partial shade exposure. It exhibits a polycarpic lifecycle with spring blooming. Unique within its genus for maintaining leaf compactness under semi-shaded conditions. Compact rosettes measuring 8-12 cm diameter, spatulate leaves 4-6 cm long, smooth surface, olive green with bronze hues in winter. Leaves arranged spirally with margins slightly curved inward.
Requires partial shade with minimum 4 hours direct sunlight. Water sparingly from October to March; substrate composed of 70% mineral components (pumice, lapilli). Minimum temperature 5°C; avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.
