Anacampseros rufescens 'Sand Rose' originates from sandy, gravelly slopes in South Africa. It is a polycarpic succulent exhibiting compact growth and leaves that develop reddish hues under high light stress, a trait less pronounced in related species. Spatulate leaves 1-2 cm long arranged in compact rosettes; green-gray color with intensified reddish tones during summer or high light exposure.
Needs bright filtered light; watering limited to active growth phases, avoiding waterlogging; substrate with minimum 70% mineral content; minimum temperature 5°C; prone to root rot if overwatered.
