argyroderma delaetii

Argyroderma delaetii is native to coastal South African granite outcrops. It exhibits a biennial monocarpic life cycle and is notable within its genus for its thick, waxy leaf cuticle surface. Opposite triangular leaves with rounded tips, 3-5 cm long and 1-1.5 cm wide, arranged in a compact rosette. Green-grey coloration with silvery reflections, intensified under strong sunlight.

Full direct sunlight exposure; irrigation halted from October to March, gradually resumed in spring. Substrate with at least 70% draining mineral content. Minimum cold tolerance: 5°C; root rot risk from waterlogging.
