Chamaelobivia paolinae originates from central Mexican mountainous areas, predominantly on limestone rocky slopes. It is a monocarpic succulent that flowers once before senescence. Unique within its genus, it develops prominent tubercles along leaf margins. Leaves spatulate, 5-8 cm long, arranged in an open rosette; olive green color with violet hues under water stress. Leaf margins bear pale tubercles, more pronounced during winter.
Full sun exposure for at least 6 hours; irrigation halted in winter, gradually resumed in spring; substrate with at least 70% draining mineral content; minimum temperature 5°C; prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
