Native to the mountainous areas of South Africa, Cotyledon ladysmithiensis variegato thrives on rocky slopes with well-drained soils. It is a polycarpic species exhibiting unusual variegation within the genus, featuring irregular cream and light green leaf margins. Leaves spatulate, 5-7 cm long, arranged in open rosettes; margins variegated cream-green; surface slightly pubescent; seasonal color variation intensifies during winter.
Full sun exposure with partial shade during peak heat. Water sparingly from autumn to spring; substrate composed of 70% mineral material. Minimum temperature 5°C. Susceptible to waterlogging; avoid overwatering.
