Crassula hottentot hails from rocky granite coastal areas of South Africa. It exhibits a clumping, polycarpic growth with thick, almost triangular leaves arranged in tight rosettes. Unlike many Crassula species, its leaf margins show subtle dentation. Thick, triangular leaves 2-3 cm long, arranged in compact rosettes with faintly dentate margins. Green-gray color with pinkish hues during colder months.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; reduced watering from autumn to spring; substrate containing at least 70% coarse sand; minimum temperature 5°C; root rot risk if waterlogged.
