Native to the coastal areas of South Africa, Crassula mesembryanthemoides inhabits sandy and gravelly soils, typically under partial shade. It is a polycarpic species with a bushy habit and notably spineless leaves, an uncommon trait within the Crassula genus. Leaves linear, 15-25 mm long, arranged in compact rosettes, with a gray-green pubescent surface showing silvery hues in winter. Margins completely spineless.
Needs filtered light or partial shade; watering reduced from October to March, increased during active growth. Substrate with at least 70% mineral drainage. Minimum temperature 5°C; prone to damage from prolonged waterlogging.
