Native to the coastal regions of South Africa, Crassula pyramidalis inhabits rocky slopes with sandy, well-drained substrates. It is a polycarpic species with a pronounced seasonal flowering, notable within the genus for its compact, pyramid-shaped leaf arrangement uncommon among Crassulas. Leaves triangular, 3-5 mm thick, arranged in tight spiral rosettes; 2-3 cm long, green-gray with violet hues during winter.
Partial shade exposure with minimum 4 hours filtered light; reduced watering from October to March; substrate containing 70% mineral components (perlite, pumice); minimum temperature 5°C; prone to damage from prolonged waterlogging.
