Crassula schmidtii originates from the mountainous regions of South Africa, commonly found on siliceous rocky substrates. It is a polycarpic species exhibiting compact succulent growth with cylindrical fleshy leaves arranged in dense rosettes, a distinctive trait within the Crassula genus. Leaves cylindrical, 1.5-2 cm long, arranged in compact spiral rosettes, green-grey coloration with reddish tips under water stress.
Morning full sun exposure, reduced watering from autumn to spring, substrate with minimum 70% mineral drainage component, minimum temperature 5°C, prone to damage from prolonged waterlogging.
