Delosperma lehmannii originates from coastal South African sandy and gravelly soils. It is a perennial polycarpic species exhibiting extended summer flowering. Unlike congeners, it features cylindrical leaves reaching lengths up to 3 cm, a distinctive trait within the genus. Leaves cylindrical, 2-3 cm long, arranged compactly without spiral pattern. Green-gray color with violet hues in winter. Larger leaf size compared to other Delosperma species.
Full direct sunlight exposure. Watering restricted to active growth period, avoiding waterlogging. Substrate with minimum 70% mineral content, well-drained. Minimum temperature 5°C; root rot risk under prolonged wet conditions.
