Native to mountainous regions of Mexico, Echeveria corderoyi crestata grows on calcareous rocky slopes. This crested variety exhibits a polycarpic growth habit, with an apical deformation disrupting the typical rosette symmetry, an uncommon trait within the genus. Spatulate leaves measuring 3-5 cm form crested rosettes with undulated margins. Color shifts from gray-green to bluish with violet hues under full sun and water stress.
Place in full sun or bright partial shade. Water only after substrate is fully dry, reducing frequency in winter. Use substrate with at least 70% mineral drainage components. Minimum temperature 5°C. Susceptible to rot from waterlogging.
