Native to mountainous regions of Mexico, Echeveria 'Lipstick' thrives on rocky slopes with well-drained soils. It is a polycarpic species forming compact rosettes, distinguished by its intensely red leaf margins, an uncommon trait within the genus. Spatulate leaves measuring 4-6 cm, arranged in a compact rosette. Intense red leaf margins, smooth surface, light green color shifting to red under water stress.
Full sun exposure for at least 6 hours daily. Reduced watering in winter, frequent in summer with complete drying between irrigations. Substrate containing at least 70% mineral content. Minimum temperature 5°C. Prolonged waterlogging causes rot.
