Echinopsis subdenudato is native to the mountainous regions of Bolivia, thriving on rocky slopes at 2000-3000 m elevation. It exhibits a cespitose, polycarpic growth habit, notable within its genus for slender cylindrical stems and intensely fragrant nocturnal blooms. Slender cylindrical stems 3-5 cm diameter, forming dense clumps. Epidermis light green with gray-blue hues. Radial spines 1-2 cm long, pale yellow. Nocturnal white flowers measuring 12-15 cm across.
Full sun exposure with slight summer shading. Water sparingly from October to March; increase during active growth. Substrate must contain at least 70% well-draining mineral components. Minimum temperature 5 °C. Susceptible to waterlogging; avoid overwatering.
