Euphorbia decepta is native to South Africa, typically found on rocky limestone slopes. It exhibits a cespitose growth habit with segmented succulent stems and is polycarpic, distinguished by its articulated branch structure uncommon in the genus. Segmented stems 3-5 cm long, cylindrical, arranged in compact rosettes; green-grey coloration with violet tinges during winter. Floral bracts are small, pale yellow.
Full sun exposure with minimum 6 hours daily. Watering confined to spring and autumn, avoiding waterlogging. Substrate composed of at least 70% well-draining mineral components. Minimum temperature 5°C; prone to root rot under persistent moisture.
