Cylindrical stems 3-5 cm thick, arranged in crested clusters, bearing rigid triangular spines 1-2 cm long. Intense green coloration with bluish hues under strong light exposure.
Full direct sun exposure for at least 6 hours daily. Water sparingly in winter, more frequently during summer. Substrate with minimum 70% mineral content, well-draining. Minimum temperature 8°C; vulnerable to prolonged waterlogging.
