euphorbia horrida mostruosa

Euphorbia horrida monstrosa originates from the sandy and rocky slopes of South Africa. It exhibits a polycarpic growth habit with irregular, deformed branching, deviating from the typical species by its asymmetrical, monstrous structure. Stems cylindrical, 3-5 cm thick, arranged in irregular clusters, bearing robust spines 1-2 cm long. Color shifts from dark green to bluish with purplish hues during winter.

Full direct sunlight exposure; watering restricted from late spring to early autumn; substrate containing at least 70% coarse sand and pumice; minimum temperature 8°C; prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
