Euphorbia loricata is native to the rocky limestone slopes of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It exhibits a bushy, polycarpic growth habit with thick, segmented succulent stems, an atypical structural trait within its genus. Stems are cylindrical, segmented, reaching up to 30 cm, arranged loosely and irregularly. Color ranges from gray-green to olive-green with reddish tips under water stress.
Provide full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily. Water exclusively during spring and summer, allowing complete substrate drying between irrigations. Use substrate with at least 70% mineral content, neutral pH. Minimum temperature 8°C; root rot risk from waterlogging.
