Faucaria felina hails from coastal areas of South Africa, favoring sandy and gravelly substrates. It is a polycarpic succulent with compact rosette leaf arrangements. Unique within its genus, it features triangular leaves with prominent claw-like teeth, adapted to rocky microhabitats. Triangular leaves 3-5 cm long, arranged in compact rosettes, with 2-3 mm thick toothed margins. Green-gray coloration with yellowish tips, intensified under water stress.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily. Reduced watering from October to March, increased in spring-summer. Substrate with at least 70% mineral content, mandatory drainage. Minimum temperature 5°C; susceptible to prolonged waterlogging.
