graptopetalum amethystinum

Native to the rocky slopes of central Mexico, Graptopetalum amethystinum thrives on well-drained granite substrates. It is a polycarpic species with a bushy growth habit, characterized by thicker leaves than congeners and a slightly farinose surface that minimizes water loss. Spatulate leaves 3-5 cm long arranged in compact rosettes; violet-lavender coloration with silvery hues under high light. Leaf margins are well-defined, surface matte with a farinose coating.
