Native to coastal areas of South Africa, Haworthia cooperi pilifera inhabits sandy soils and volcanic rocks under partial shade. It is a slow-growing, polycarpic species characterized by translucent leaves unique within its genus, enhancing photosynthesis in low-light environments. Leaves are cylindrical, fleshy, 2-3 cm long, arranged in a compact rosette. Surface is translucent with slightly papillose tips, color ranging from light green to bluish-green under shaded conditions.

Needs filtered light or partial shade; water only in spring and autumn, avoiding waterlogging. Substrate must contain at least 70% mineral components for drainage. Minimum temperature 8°C; susceptible to root rot from excess moisture.
