Native to South Africa, Haworthia cuspidata inhabits shaded volcanic rock outcrops. It is a slow-growing, polycarpic succulent distinguished by its rigid, sharply pointed leaves, differing from other Haworthia species with softer leaf margins. Linear, rigid, sharply pointed leaves 3-5 cm long arranged in a compact rosette. Dark green color with whitish translucence at tips, enhanced under prolonged shade.
Prefers filtered light or partial shade; reduced watering in winter, more frequent in summer avoiding waterlogging. Substrate with at least 70% mineral content. Minimum temperature 7°C; susceptible to root rot from excess moisture.
