Native to Southeast Asia's tropical zones, Hoya carnosa compacta develops on limestone rocks and tree trunks in humid forests. It is a slow-growing, polycarpic species with twisted leaves, a morphological deviation within the Hoya genus. Leaves thick, wavy, twisted, 3-4 cm long, tightly spiraled; dark green with purplish hues under strong light exposure.
Bright filtered light required; reduced watering during winter dormancy, increased in growth phase; substrate with minimum 70% mineral content; minimum temperature 10°C; prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
