Native to Kazakhstan's mountainous calcareous outcrops at 1200-2000 m, Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi is a polycarpic shrub exhibiting slightly dentate leaf margins, an uncommon trait within the genus. Leaves spatulate, 3-5 cm long, oppositely arranged with slight overlap; gray-blue color shifting to violet hues in cold seasons; margins finely dentate.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; reduced watering from autumn through spring; substrate containing at least 70% coarse sand and gravel; tolerates down to -4 °C; prone to root rot if waterlogged.
