Nictocereus serpentinus crested originates from limestone outcrops in eastern Mexico. It develops on sun-exposed slopes, exhibiting a polycarpic growth habit with crested branching that disrupts the typical cylindrical stem morphology. Serpentine cylindrical stem, 3-5 cm diameter, branching into undulate crests up to 10 cm wide. Dark green coloration with bluish hues intensified under full sun exposure.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily. Reduced watering from October to March, increased frequency in summer. Substrate with at least 70% draining mineral content. Minimum temperature 8°C. Prone to stem necrosis if waterlogged.
