Nolina recurvata originates from central Mexico, typically found on calcareous soils and rocky slopes. It is a slow-growing, polycarpic species storing reserves in a thickened caudex. Its uniquely narrow, recurved leaves differentiate it within the genus. Linear leaves measuring 30-50 cm, arranged in open rosettes; finely serrated margins, green-grey coloration with purple hues under water stress.
Provide full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; irrigate only during spring and summer, avoiding waterlogging; substrate composed of at least 70% coarse sand and gravel; minimum temperature 5°C; root rot risk from overwatering.
