Native to the mountainous regions of Mexico, Pachyphytum hookeri inhabits limestone rocky slopes at elevations between 1500 and 2500 meters. It exhibits a polycarpic growth habit with succulent leaves adapted for water storage, notable for its more elongated leaf shape compared to related species. Leaves elliptic-lanceolate, 3-5 cm long, arranged in compact rosettes; matte surface with green-grey hues shifting to bluish under water stress.
