Native to rocky slopes of central Mexico, Pachyveria draco inhabits calcareous terrains. It is a clumping, polycarpic succulent exhibiting faster growth relative to congeners, characterized by thicker, more compact leaves. Leaves spatulate, 5-7 cm long, arranged in a dense rosette with subtly serrated margins. Green-gray coloration shifts to pinkish hues under water stress or high light exposure.
Requires full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily; watering reduced from autumn to spring, increased during summer. Substrate containing at least 70% mineral components ensuring drainage. Minimum temperature 5°C; prone to damage from prolonged waterlogging.
