Native to rocky slopes in central Mexico, Pachyveria glauca thrives on calcareous substrates under full sun. It exhibits a clumping, polycarpic growth habit and features a distinctive waxy gray-blue pigmentation uncommon among Pachyveria species. Leaves spatulate, 3-5 cm long, arranged in a tight rosette with a waxy gray-blue surface that deepens under full sun. Margins slightly recurved downward.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; reduced watering from autumn to spring, increased in summer; substrate with at least 70% mineral drainage; minimum temperature 5 °C; sensitive to waterlogging causing root rot.
