puna incahuasi

Puna incahuasi is native to the central Andes of Argentina and Chile, inhabiting rocky slopes at 3500-4500 m elevation. It exhibits a cespitose, polycarpic growth habit on nutrient-poor volcanic soils. Unique within Puna for its tightly compact tufted form and concentrated summer flowering period. Leaves linear, 5-8 cm length, arranged in very compact cespitose rosettes. Green-gray color with pinkish tips during summer. Margins slightly dentate, surface covered with a thin pruina.

Instructions de culture

Full sun exposure with thermal fluctuations. Watering limited to active summer growth, avoiding waterlogging. Substrate composed of at least 70% volcanic mineral material. Minimum temperature 5°C; prone to root rot if overwatered.
