Adromischus maculatus is native to coastal areas of South Africa, thriving on granite rock outcrops under partial shade. It is a slow-growing, perennial, polycarpic species distinguished within its genus by its spotted, spineless leaves. Leaves ovate-spatulate, 3-5 cm long, arranged in loose rosettes; surface marked with purple spots on a green-grey background, more pronounced under lower light.
Partial shade exposure; limited watering from autumn to spring; substrate with at least 70% mineral content and high drainage; minimum temperature 8°C; prone to waterlogging damage.
