Sedum adolphi originates from Mexico, commonly found on rocky limestone slopes at low elevations. It is a polycarpic species with tufted, branching growth and indeterminate development. It is notable within the genus for its slightly serrated leaf margins and prolific basal offsets. Leaves spatulate, 2-3 cm long, arranged in dense, overlapping rosettes; pale green color with red-orange tips intensified by strong sunlight. Woody stems reaching up to 30 cm in height.

Full sun exposure for a minimum of 6 hours daily; reduced watering from autumn to spring, increased during summer; substrate containing at least 70% well-draining mineral components; minimum temperature 5 °C; prone to root rot if waterlogged.
