Sedum dasyphyllum major originates from the Balearic Islands, thriving on south-facing limestone rocks. It is a polycarpic species forming dense mats. Notably, it lacks spines, setting it apart from many other Sedum species. Leaves are rounded, 4-6 mm diameter, arranged in compact overlapping rosettes. Color shifts from gray-green to bluish, intensifying under water stress.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; watering restricted from spring to late summer, avoiding waterlogging. Substrate with at least 70% mineral content ensuring good drainage. Minimum temperature 5°C; prone to root rot if overwatered.
