Sedum rubrotintum originates from coastal regions of Mexico, typically growing on calcareous rocky substrates. It exhibits a cespitose, polycarpic growth habit and shows pronounced anthocyanin pigmentation in leaves, an uncommon trait within the Sedum genus. Leaves spatulate, 1.5-2 cm long, arranged in compact rosettes; pale green with reddish-purple tips intensified under full sun and water stress.
Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours; reduced watering from autumn to spring, increased in summer; substrate with at least 70% coarse sand; minimum temperature 5°C; avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.
