Sempervivum 'Lion' originates from selective hybrids of specimens native to the Pyrenees, thriving on exposed calcareous rocks. It exhibits a cespitose, polycarpic growth habit with short stolon production, notable for its leaves with serrated margins, differentiating it within the genus. Compact rosettes 5-7 cm diameter, spatulate leaves 1.5-2 cm long with serrated edges, dark green coloration with reddish-brown tips intensified during winter. Leaves arranged in a tight spiral.

Instructions de culture

Full sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily. Watering reduced from October to March, increased in spring. Substrate with at least 70% mineral content, well-draining. Minimum tolerance to -10°C. Prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
