Native to semi-arid regions of South Africa, Senecio haworthii thrives on rocky slopes with sandy soils. This clump-forming, polycarpic species is marked by dense white tomentum, a distinctive trait within the Senecio genus. Cylindrical leaves, 3-5 cm long, arranged in dense rosettes, covered with thick white-grey tomentum. Color shifts from green-grey to silvery white under intense sunlight.
Full direct sunlight exposure; watering restricted from spring to late summer with extended dry periods; substrate containing at least 70% draining mineral material; minimum temperature 5°C; prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
