Tephrocactus geometricus is native to La Rioja, Argentina, inhabiting calcareous rocky slopes. It exhibits a polycarpic growth with articulated segments, uniquely characterized in the genus by its nearly cubic cladode morphology. Segmented cubic cladodes measuring 2-3 cm, arranged in compact clusters. Gray-blue coloration with violet hues under water stress.
Full direct sunlight exposure. Watering reduced from spring to late summer, none in winter. Substrate containing at least 70% well-draining mineral components. Minimum temperature 5°C. Prolonged waterlogging causes rot.
