Aloe variegata is a succulent native to South Africa, commonly found in rocky, well-drained soils at low elevations. It produces racemose inflorescences with tubular red-orange flowers. This species is frequently cultivated ornamentally and is distinguished within the Aloe genus by its variegated leaves. Fleshy, triangular leaves with toothed margins and white or cream transverse variegation. Bushy habit reaching up to 30 cm. Leaves form compact rosettes with small spines along the edges.
Prefers full sun or bright partial shade. Use well-drained substrate with mineral content. Moderate watering, allow soil to dry between irrigations. Sensitive to frost and excessive moisture.
