Echeveria apus is a species native to central Mexico, commonly found in rocky habitats at mid elevations. It exhibits a polycarpic growth habit with clustered inflorescences. Known for its tolerance to well-drained soils, it can produce tubular flowers under favorable conditions. Plant with fleshy, lanceolate, rigid leaves in green-gray tones with slightly serrated margins. Leaves form a compact rosette of modest size. Inflorescences are clustered with tubular orange-red flowers.
Requires full sun or bright partial shade, well-drained substrate with mineral content. Water moderately, allowing soil to dry between irrigations. Recommended minimum temperature above 5 °C; protect from frost.
