Echeveria cubic frost originates from Mexico, inhabiting limestone rocky slopes at 1500-2000 m elevation. It is a clumping, polycarpic succulent. Unique within the genus for its distinctly cuboid leaf shape, uncommon among Echeveria species. Leaves cuboid, 8-12 mm thick, arranged in a compact rosette 6-8 cm wide. Gray-blue with a waxy bloom, deepening to violet hues during winter months.
Full sun exposure with light shade during peak heat. Water sparingly from October to March. Use substrate containing at least 70% coarse sand and pumice. Minimum temperature 5 °C. Susceptible to rot from waterlogging.
