echeveria subsessilis

Echeveria subsessilis originates from mountainous regions of Mexico, commonly found on calcareous rocky slopes between 1500 and 2200 meters elevation. It exhibits a cespitose, polycarpic growth habit, distinguished by a more compact form with shorter, broader leaves compared to other Echeveria species. Leaves spatulate, 3-5 cm wide, arranged in a compact rosette with subtly undulated margins. Green-gray coloration with violet hues under strong light and low night temperatures.

Full sun to bright partial shade exposure. Reduced watering from October to March, increased frequency during summer. Substrate with at least 70% mineral components ensuring good drainage. Minimum tolerance 5 °C; prolonged waterlogging causes rot.
