Native to coastal areas of South Africa, Haworthia mirabilis thrives on siliceous rocky substrates, typically under partial shade. It is a perennial, polycarpic species characterized by translucent leaves with longitudinal striations, a unique feature within the genus. Triangular-spatulate leaves, 3-5 cm long, arranged in compact rosettes. Surface shows translucent white longitudinal striations; dark green color shifts to grayish during winter.
Provide filtered light, avoiding intense direct sun. Water sparingly during winter, increase frequency in active growth. Use substrate with minimum 70% mineral content for drainage. Minimum temperature 5°C. Prolonged waterlogging causes root rot.
