Marlohistella stenophylla is native to rocky granite slopes in Namibia, favoring well-drained substrates. It is a slow-growing, polycarpic succulent with narrower leaves than congeners, an adaptation to minimize water loss. Linear leaves 5-8 cm long arranged in an open rosette; glaucous green with violet hues under water stress.
Full sun exposure with partial shade during peak heat; reduced watering in winter; substrate containing at least 70% coarse sand; minimum temperature 5°C; prone to damage from prolonged waterlogging.
