Sedum sieboldii variegata hails from mountainous areas of Japan, commonly found on rocky slopes with excellent drainage. It is a polycarpic species with a bushy growth habit and exhibits a stable variegation affecting leaf margins and veins, an uncommon trait within Sedum genus. Leaves spatulate, 2-3 cm long, arranged in open rosettes; variegation of cream-white on margins and central veins; light green color with variegation intensifying during winter.
Full sun exposure for at least 6 hours daily; reduced watering from October to March, increased during summer; substrate with at least 70% mineral content and high drainage; minimum temperature 0 °C; prevent waterlogging to avoid root rot.
