Echeveria 'Ebony' is a cultivated hybrid within the genus Echeveria, recognized for its nearly black dark leaves. It is not a formally described species but a selected cultivar valued for its color contrast. It typically produces clustered inflorescences with tubular flowers characteristic of the genus. Leaves are fleshy, lanceolate, slightly curved, uniformly dark violet-black with entire margins and smooth surface. The plant forms compact rosettes 8-12 cm wide. Flowers are tubular, usually red-orange, borne on erect inflorescence stalks.
Requires full sun or bright filtered light, well-draining substrate with mineral content. Water only when substrate is dry, avoiding waterlogging. Minimum temperatures above 5°C; sensitive to frost and excessive moisture.
