Native to the coastal limestone outcrops of Madagascar, Euphorbia melophormis variegata is a slow-growing, polycarpic species. It exhibits an unusual variegation pattern within the genus, primarily affecting younger stems. Cylindrical stems, 5-10 cm long, arranged in a compact rosette. Irregular cream-white variegation on dark green, intensified under strong light. True leaves absent; short, sturdy spines present.
