Euphorbia stellata is native to the mountainous calcareous slopes of South Africa. It exhibits a unique clumping habit with succulent stems featuring a stellate cross-section. This species is polycarpic, flowering multiple times throughout the warm season. Succulent stems with 5-7-rayed stellate cross-section, 10-20 cm long, forming dense clumps. Color ranges from olive green to reddish hues under full sun. Leaves are reduced, lanceolate, 1-2 cm, alternately arranged.
Full direct sun exposure for minimum 6 hours daily. Water sparingly from spring to early autumn, preventing waterlogging. Substrate composed of at least 70% mineral components with excellent drainage. Minimum temperature 8°C; prone to root rot if moisture persists.
