gasteria bicolor

Gasteria bicolor is native to South Africa, predominantly found on granite rocky substrates and sandy soils along the eastern coast. It is a slow-growing, perennial, polycarpic species with leaves arranged in compact rosettes. It is notable within the genus for its distinct two-tone leaf coloration, with margins typically lighter than the center. Leaves thick, spatulate, 5-8 cm wide and 12-15 cm long, arranged in a compact, slightly overlapping rosette. Surface rough with whitish-gray spots on dark green background, lighter margins; seasonal color variation minimal.

Instructions de culture

Exposure to filtered light or partial sun; watering reduced from October to March, increased from April to September. Substrate with at least 70% mineral content (coarse sand and gravel). Minimum temperature 7°C; sensitive to waterlogging causing leaf rot.
